Getting on track

What does any good public transit system aim for? To take you where you're going comfortably, safely, and on time. Private cars can't be the only answer to transport problems, as experience in many countries has shown.

Railways, as a means of public transport, do provide an answer. In the very near future, rail travel will be the only viable solution for relieving road congestion, cutting down on road accidents, and restoring environmental quality.

The Israeli public will soon prefer taking a train to getting stuck in traffic jams. More and more Israelis are catching on, and using the services of Israel Railways on a regular basis.

Statistics show a significant trend - on every line where improved service has been implemented, there has been a positive response from the public and a steep rise in the number of passengers.

The management of Israel Railways is preparing the infrastructure and the plans that will meet the public's high expectations, and sweep the railways into a new era.
